Scotland, a land we love and one that has almost become a second home for us! We have long loved the peace and tranquillity of the Western Islands, but in recent years we have also been drawn to the beauty of the mainland.

Recent years have seen us exploring the rugged beauty of the Scottish mainland, from the windswept beaches of the far north west, to the sheltered, misty waters of Loch Ard and loch Lomond in the south.

The tranquil beauty of the Scottish islands has been drawing us north since the early 1970’s and continues to exert its pull to this day. We love these remote islands from the lush and varied hills of Mull, to the stark, windswept beauty of Uist.

St. Kilda

St. Kilda, a remote and magical isle situated far out in the Atlantic Ocean 40 miles west of the Outer Hebrides. I’m not into history, but the feel of this place just blew me away and I had to return. St. Kilda is just about as remote as it is possible to get in the British Isles and I wanted to experience this feeling of remoteness, so in the summer of 2017, I achieved my dream of camping there for a couple of nights.
